Shade Sales Manager
My job is to take window treatment projects, commercial and residential, from development through to successful completion. I want to make sure that clients realize their design goals while staying within a budget.
What do you like best about your business and/or your job?
Every situation is so different. Some projects can be very challenging, such as skylights or monumental windows. I really enjoy the difficult jobs – coming up with solutions for difficult windows and helping a client see what a difference window treatments can make for their quality of life. The most satisfying part is completing a project and earning future business.
What have you learned “on the job” that you could not have learned without this experience?
I think one of the most important lessons I’ve learned is not to stop looking for a solution – there’s always an innovative product that can work. Also, trust your installers – they are problem-solvers and a great resource. And “necessity is the mother of invention!”
What do you do when you’re not working?
Every year when spring rolls around, I’ll be at Wrigley Field as much as humanly possible. I love Chicago and there is no place like it in the summer and fall so I’m always looking for a neighborhood festival or garden walk. Winter…..there’s always the Blackhawks!
What three words describe you best?
Knowledgeable, detailed, and easy-going.
Finally, what do you think Tunnel Vision does better than any other company?
We are solution-focused; we listen to what a client wants and make sure that what we provide will accomplish not only what they want, but what they need. Our company really cares about each project, no matter the size, and we want a satisfied client when the job is complete.
